The enterprise started in 1982 under the name of «Atelier Mobile». At the start, the principal activities of the enterprise was the sales and repairs of tractors and agricultural machines.

In 1990, strength ended by his experience acquired around producers, Mr Jacques Bernier innovated by adding to his list of products and services the Stetch-O-Matic, the continuous bale wrapper for round silage bales that he is the first to produce in North America. This machine is specifically built and technologically studied to answer the needs for silage for the dairy producers and beef cattle raisers. The Stretch-O-Matic distinguishes itself from its competitors by its rapid action, economical plastic requirements and its electronic components which automate the operations.

The round bale wrapper Stretch-O-Matic is offered in three different models : 7500, 8400 and 9600, which can all wrap the various sizes of bales produced mechanically. Various options are available, such as a remote control allowing producers to operate the wrapper from the comfort of his tractor. It can also be produced with front traction permitting the machine to be moved at the end of operations without the use of the tractor.

In 2003, the company produced three models of continuous bale wrappers, three models of hydraulic dump trailers, a tool-carrier will adapt to most brush cutter witch can be installed on a tractor, quality wood splitter, animal feeders and various other products.

To make its products known, AM Machinery participates in over thirty agricultural expositions across North America. It also organize demonstration days with its various distributors. AM Machinery is also a member of FEMA and PIMA, two of the biggest agricultural manufacturing associations of North America.

Since 1995, AM Machinery has been part of the American market. Presently, the company, on top of his three Canadian distributors, includes five American distributors which cover 38 states and representation in France. Based on this success, this company from Saint-Eugène has gone world wide. With this goal in mind, the company participated in a commercial mission to Argentine and Chili, in collaboration with SPEQM in the fall of 2000 and also with Americontact 2001.

In the fall 2002, the CLD of the County of L’Islet recognized the value of these efforts by nominating the company as «The business of the year» for his technological ingenuity of its product, for the effectiveness of his marketing and its exportation success.
